Lil Wayne soars 48-9 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart dated June 14, with his newest single "Believe Me" featuring Drake, extending Wayne's record of the most top 10s (39) within the Nielsen BDS era (Dec. 5, 1992-present). (Drake is in second place, with 35.) Wayne's track sold 84,000 digital downloads in the week ending June, 1, according to Nielsen SoundScan, enough to enter Rap Digital Songs at No. 2.
On the Rhythmic Songs chart, "Believe" hops 22-19 to 1535 spins at the format for the week (a 23 percent increase), according to Nielsen BDS. The track comes from upcoming set "Tha Carter V", which is pending an official release date.
Tedashii's 'Paradise' Found: Christian rapper Tedashii enters Rap Albums at No. 2 with his latest set "Below Paradise," moving 14,000 units. The Texan emcee nearly doubles the first week sales from his prior album "Blacklight," which opened at No. 9 on the chart in 2011 with 7,000 copies sold.
"Earthquake" featuring KB & Dimitri McDowell, a track off of the new album, debuts on Christian Digital Songs at No. 44 selling nearly 2,000 digital downloads. "Below Paradise" enters the Billboard 200 at No. 17, marking his first visit to the top 20.
Mariah's Lucky No. 7: Mariah Carey scores her seventh No. 1 on Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums with her latest set "Me. I Am Mariah … The Elusive Chanteuse," moving 58,000 copies in its first week to debut atop the list.
Carey last topped the chart in 2010 when her holiday album "Merry Christmas ll You" spent a week at No. 1. Concurrently she re-enters Hot R&B/Hip Hop Digital Songs at No. 47 with "You're Mine (Eternal)," which had previously peaked at No. 24 on March 1st.
Ne-Yo is Back: Ne-Yo debuts at No. 22 on Hot R&B Songs with "Money Can't Buy," featuring Jeezy. The entrance is Ne-Yo's first song on the chart since 2012 when "Should Be You" featuring Fabolous & Diddy peaked at No. 24. "Money" opens at No. 13 on R&B Digital Songs tallying 15,000 digital downloads for the week.
The song also enters at No. 49 on the inaugural Twitter Top Tracks chart, a weekly ranking of the most shared and/or mentioned songs on Twitter in the U.S. listed by the volume of shares over a seven-day period.
Potion Brews: On Rap Airplay, Nicki Minaj's "Pills N Potions" arrives at No. 22 with a 117 percent climb to 5.9 million audience impressions for the week, according to Nielsen BDS.
The track drops 2-3 on Rap Digital Songs in its second week, selling 60,000 downloads (a 29 percent decrease). "Pills," from her upcoming album "The Pink Print," climbs 47-42 on the Billboard Hot 100.
Usher Makes 'Good': On the Adult R&B Airplay tally, Usher leaps 30-20 with "Good Kisser" to secure the singer's 15th top 20 on the list. The song takes Greatest Gainer honors, surging 68 percent to 246 plays at the format in its second week.
Usher last charted with "Dive" in 2012, which peaked at No. 14. "Kisser" climbs 25-21 on R&B Streaming Songs, logging over 892,000 domestic streams with 53 percent of that total stemming from YouTube and VEVO at YouTube views.
